We are delighted to announce a new strategic partnership with Applicable Limited:

Leading UK Social Software consultancy joins forces with premier SaaS provider
Alliance between Collaboration Matters and Applicable takes IBM Lotus Connections into the Cloud – providing safe, secure social software solutions to organisations of all sizes and delivering rapid return on investment

Cirencester, UK, September 1st, 2009

Collaboration Matters (www.collaborationmatters.com) today announced it has formed a strategic alliance with Applicable (www.applicable.com), extending its range of IBM Lotus Connections-based social software offerings to include software as a service (SaaS) and hosted options.

These new Lotus Connections services will allow more organisations to take advantage of the power of social software on-demand, reducing initial and overall costs.  A choice of dedicated hosted or SaaS (per user per month) options will enable organisations to choose the right security and pricing model to suit their collaboration needs.

Lotus Connections is a tremendously powerful tool for enabling knowledge-sharing and embracing innovation.” said Stuart McIntyre, Technical Director at Collaboration Matters. “This new alliance with Applicable will allow us offer ‘Connections in the Cloud’, reducing the complexity and IT infrastructure demands, enabling an even broader range of organisations to benefit from the cultural shift and business improvements that social software can offer.

Collaboration Matters had been seeking a partner who had the ability to offer a true ‘always-on’ worldwide delivery of IBM Lotus Connections solutions to enable its customers to take advantage of the latest social software developments without the initial up-front costs or skills enablement associated with traditional on-premise delivery.  Stuart McIntyre commented “This alliance with an established provider of IBM Lotus cloud based solutions gives our customers the ability to gain the huge benefits of social computing from IBM quickly and in an innovative commercial offering.”

Applicable’s Chief Technology Office Mark Ward commented “Being able to deliver these highly complex solutions in the cloud without compromise to functionality, usability or security is a key win for customers. We are able to combine the deep experience of Collaboration Matters’ understanding of the cultural and business benefits in deploying IBM Lotus Connections with our experience of delivering highly available SaaS offerings.

This partnership will primarily serve two purposes:
1.        to allow Collaboration Matters to develop best-of-breed SaaS and hosted social software offerings, including solutions based on Lotus Connections 2.5.  These will be based out of Applicable’s enterprise-strength data centres and will utilise their high-quality managed services staff – thus offering Collaboration Matters customers the option to either offload the hosting and management of a dedicated social software solution (thus saving cost, reducing training and maximising availability) or simply procure the social software service on a SaaS/Cloud-based per-user per-month model.  When added to our proven strength at delivering on-premise solutions and our wider social collaboration consultancy experience, these new offerings will ensure Collaboration Matters customers have the best range of Connections solutions available in the UK today.
2.        to allow Applicable to utilise Collaboration Matters resources, expertise and services to extend their Lotus Connections offerings, primarily in the SaaS space, but also in connection with their extensive portfolio of on-premise Lotus Collaboration solutions.  Applicable already has a great team of technology consultants and specialists, and we at Collaboration Matters are really looking forward to working closer and in more depth to deliver first class social and collaborative solutions to Applicable customers.

We see this alliance as being a great enhancement to Collaboration Matters customers and to the wider Lotus Connections community.  If you have any questions, please do get in touch.
