IBM launches new Social Media Aggregator

SMA provides a consolidated view of real-time social activity on specific topics or events, based on hashtags and keywords. While you’ve probably seen a couple of custom-built pilots used for Pulse, IOD, Impact, IBM@100, Watson, and Lotusphere in the last year, this new service is a huge step forward.
SMA is:

  • build on a service that is scalable and now able to support the needs of our enterprise
  • implemented as an “off the shelf” offering, and very easy to create and administer
  • packaged to significantly reduce costs for users

I’m sure the aggregator for Lotusphere 2012 will use this new tooling.
