Update on the ’Five Million People Around the Water-Cooler’ article

Just a quick update on the ‘Five Million People Around the Water-Cooler‘ whitepaper I mentioned yesterday.

Firstly, I really rate it as a resource to give to prospective social software customers.  It provides very clear, concise and hype-free suggestions on how social software can benefit an organisation – whether in the UK Public sector or in any other vertical.  Congratulations to the authors – Mark Palmer, Dan Bailey and Adrian Hollister.  The direct link is Five Million People Around the Water-Cooler.

Secondly, I was correct in that the document was behind an authenticated area of the IBM site, and that you need to be registered as a UK Public Sector individual to get access.  However, I emailed the contact mentioned on the page, Kathryn Waller, and received a copy of the whitepaper by email less than an hour later (at 8.25am too!).  Great service, Kathryn.
